Keep it real.

I've been going through a rough patch in the last couple weeks, or even months perhaps. Nonetheless, important lessons I have learned is that we need to look forward and move on. Apparently, I won't be having the opportunity to design for any of the projects I was looking forward too. Blame it on ignorance or blame it on my stubbornness. Things fell through. And yes, I do no employ the opportunity. I didn't want to let go of those opportunities but I suppose letting some go would pave the way for new ones. (I hope so).

However said, I have been officially accepted to the UX Design Part-Time course at General Assembly (take a few minutes to check them out, they're pretty cool). I can't wait to start this new learning journey of mine and I'm ready to tackle some new skills and challenges. Lately, I've been pouring way too much self-doubt. I still have them, really but at least I try to meet the right people at a more suitable time. I am grateful to have my parents and sister support me. And of course, a group of invisible friends continuing to push me. What I mean by invisible really, is that they are not necessarily there but you know in your mind you have their support. I really need to tackle some new Photoshop skills and finally set my foot down to learn Illustrator. I'm able to get by with most of the skills I currently have but to move forward I can only grasp onto more.

Here are a few modifications I made to the Meowtropolitan Cat Cafe I mentioned in the previous post, enjoy!
