TGIF.

It's been a rough week at work. And I'm also attempting to establish new habits for myself. I'm trying to cook at least 3 meals per week. It doesn't seem like a lot but given my ungodly work schedule (I work at 5:30am or 6:30am if I'm lucky on most days). 3 meals a week isn't so bad, given that I can always prep larger portions so I have leftovers to munch on during the week.

I definitely went a little overboard with styling my food yesterday. Why not make the process fun when everything else is relatively mundane.

And I am super excited that's Friday. Like I said, it's been a rough week. I think what contributed to the rough week is that there is just so much going through my mind at the moment. There are so many things I want to be doing. I'm also a Virgo which means to an extent I focus way too much on trying to be a perfectionist. It doesn't necessarily reflect on the products or habits but in my mind I know I have some sort of OCD going in. I've been writing cover letters and applying to positions to augment my skills in graphic design. But I never came from a legitimate background (I majored in Political Science when I was in UW). So hopefully the UX Design at the General Assembly would help me out. Right now, I am also focusing on really getting a grasp on basic front-end web development skills - HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Javascript is always fun to work with. I've had a taste of it when I was back in middle school. Didn't really do anything crazy but it was enough to keep me insane. Just kidding but it was definitely pretty tough.
